We want to contribute to a complete understanding of anuran ecology and behaviour. We aim for communities to adapt their lifestyle to a better conservation of nature, in particular concerning threatened taxa. Local people should be able to tackle future conservation challenges themselves through a more solid knowledge on natural history.

In this project we aim to:

  1. increase the scientific knowledge about the selected species
  2. assess the main factors threatening the species’ existence
  3. establish a community-based conservation project in which local communities understand their importance in preserving these frogs.
  4. increase capacity building to ensure a good follow-up and to stimulate others to establish similar projects .
